Step 1: Finding the Right SoundCloud URL

Downloading on PC or Mac

  1. 1Open soundcloud.com in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Find the track you want.

Downloading on iPhone

iOS saves downloads through the Files app. Safari handles this most cleanly — use it rather than Chrome if possible.

Downloading a SoundCloud Playlist

Playlist downloads work the same as single tracks — just use the playlist URL instead of a track URL.

  1. 1Go to the playlist or album page on SoundCloud. The URL will contain /sets/ — e.g. soundcloud.com/artist/sets/playlist-name.
  2. 2Copy that URL and paste it into the tool above.

Troubleshooting Common Download Problems

"Track not found" or "Invalid link"
The track is private, removed, or the URL is malformed. Try: (1) Confirm it plays on SoundCloud. (2) Copy from the browser bar, not the Share button. (3) If it's a repost, navigate to the original artist's page and copy the URL from there.
Download button does nothing on iPhone
Use Safari, not Chrome or Firefox. iOS only allows file downloads from Safari by default. If it still fails, check Settings → Safari → Downloads and confirm a save location is set.
ZIP file is smaller than expected
Some tracks in a large playlist may fail individually (private tracks embedded in a public playlist). The ZIP is generated with whatever succeeded. Try downloading failed tracks individually.
File downloads but will not play
Make sure you are opening it in a player that supports MP3. VLC works on every platform. On Windows, Windows Media Player should also work. Avoid trying to open it in a browser tab.
Very slow download for a long track
Long mixes (1–2 hours) involve downloading and stitching many HLS segments — this is normal. Keep the tab open and wait. Progress may appear frozen during segment fetching, then jump quickly.
"Blocked as bot" error
This happens when the request looks automated — usually triggered by VPN usage or certain browser extensions. Disable your VPN, reload the page, and try again.

Why can't I download some SoundCloud tracks?
Private tracks, geo-restricted tracks, and tracks removed by the artist cannot be downloaded. Only publicly accessible tracks work. Confirm the track plays on SoundCloud before trying to download it.
